Techniques Our Therapists Use:
Swedish Massage
The best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of this technique’s primary goals is to relax the entire body. Beyond just relaxation, Swedish massage increases the blood’s oxygen level, decreases muscle toxins, and improves circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle, tendons, and fascia. Studies show that it can lower blood pressure, reduce stress hormone levels and heart rate while boosting mood and relaxation.
Sports Massage
Sports massage is geared towards athletes of every kind, from elite professionals to weekend warriors. Our therapists will focus on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements. It can be used to prepare for an event or to reduce recovery time after training. Our athletes find sports massage promotes flexibility, reduces fatigue, improves endurance, helps prevent injuries, and prepares their bodies and minds for optimal performance.

Cupping
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine, where the therapist places a glass or silicone cup to create suction. This therapy is beneficial for reducing pain and inflammation, increasing blood flow, and promoting relaxation. In addition, cupping has also been shown to loosen tough knots and release excess fluids and toxins.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial release uses gentle, sustained pressure on connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore proper movement. It works through relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulation the stretch reflex in muscles.

Prenatal Massage
Massage therapy during pregnancy is an amazing addition to your prenatal self-care. It relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, including backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches, edema (swelling), and generalized stress. In addition, massage during pregnancy reduces stress on your joints, encourages blood and lymph circulation, and can help relieve depression or anxiety caused by hormonal changes.
Thai Massage
Thai is an ancient healing system combining acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga poses. This style of massage uses no oils or lotions; the recipient remains clothed during treatment. Rather than rubbing movement on the muscles, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched, and rocked.

Thai Assisted Yoga Stretching
Similar to Thai Massage, the patient is fully clothed during this treatment. The practitioner assists the patient into yoga poses and holds them there, creating a stretch in targeted muscles. Hallmarks of Assisted Yoga are energy balancing and muscle, tendon, ligament, fascia, and joint stretching at its best.
Shiatsu
In shiatsu therapy, pressure with thumbs, hands, elbow, knees or feet is applied to pressure points on the body. This form of massage also focuses on rotating and stretching limbs, joints, and pressure points — or meridians as they’re called in traditional Chinese medicine.

Scraping
An ancient Chinese practice, this technique involves stroking the skin with a stiff instrument. Research has shown that scraping boosts the immune system, reduces inflammation, and positively affects pain and stiffness, migraines, allergic inflammation, fever and chills, earaches, and asthma.
Hot Stone Therapy
Hot stone therapy melts away tension, eases muscle stiffness, and increases circulation. The direct heat of the stones relaxes the muscles, allowing the therapist access to deeper muscle layers. Combining hot stone protocols with a full body massage provides a very healing and effective experience.
